Realism Update #1 (38 MB) - This is a mod which updates your skins, models, sprites, sounds etc to give CS 1.6 a more modern and "Source" like feeling.

File Planet - CS Realism Update (53 MB) - This pack will update models, sounds, sprites, maps and artwork for Counter-Strike and, if you wish, condition Zero. Pack also includes a config program fro switching on and off CS|RU FE.

A rather different mod that i would like to mention, the Equilibrium mod for Max Payne 2, which converts Max Payne into Cleric John Preston and his guns too! A must see, altho its a large file (204 MB), but nice to have a look.

To install these mods you need to copy the files in the zip to "Counter-Strike 1.6\cstrike\models" folder and your sounds go to "Counter-Strike 1.6\cstrike\sound\weapons". And you can find help in the readme files that come along with the mods.
